In celebration of the UAE’s National Day, four public beaches in Dubai will transform into exclusive family-friendly destinations during the extended holiday weekend. From November 30 to December 3, Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah Beach 3, Umm Suqeim Beach 1, and Umm Suqeim Beach 2 will be reserved solely for families, offering a serene and safe environment to enjoy the festivities.
This year’s National Day, now known as Eid Al Etihad, grants employees across both public and private sectors a much-anticipated four-day weekend. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to unwind, bond, and soak in the celebratory atmosphere along Dubai’s stunning coastline.
Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Waterways Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the municipality’s commitment to family enjoyment and crowd management during the Eid Al Etihad celebrations. “Reserving public beaches for families during the festivities aims to regulate the high volume of visitors these locations attract during public holidays and festivals. It also ensures families can fully enjoy Dubai’s beaches in a safe and relaxed environment,” he stated.
To uphold safety and enhance the beach experience, Dubai Municipality has deployed a robust “integrated safety and rescue team,” consisting of 135 skilled personnel. Additionally, a dedicated field supervisory team of 60 members has been appointed to oversee and manage beach operations throughout the holiday period.
The municipality, working in close partnership with other stakeholders, will maintain vigilant supervision of all beach activities. This collaborative approach ensures smooth operations and a secure environment for all visitors, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a premier destination for family-friendly holiday experiences.
