Historic Inauguration: Donald Trump’s 200 Executive Orders on Day One-Themagalogue

Donald Trump is poised to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday in an unprecedented indoor ceremony inside the Rotunda of the US Capitol, marking a significant moment in American history. Amid freezing temperatures that have shifted the event from its traditional outdoor setting on the Capitol’s West Lawn, Trump has vowed to redefine the presidency by stretching executive powers, intensifying immigration crackdowns, seeking vengeance against political adversaries, and reshaping America’s global influence. Joining him in this historic transition is incoming Vice President JD Vance, who will also take the oath of office during this solemn and pivotal occasion.

Following the oath-taking ceremony, the newly sworn-in president will present his inaugural address, outlining his vision and strategic plans for the upcoming four years. Mr. Trump has pledged an immediate wave of executive actions addressing critical issues such as immigration, energy policies, and trade tariffs, with the intention of implementing these measures promptly after assuming office. Notably, during his first inauguration in 2017, the Republican leader delivered a stark and somber speech that painted a vivid picture of “American carnage,” setting the tone for his initial term.

The celebrations began on Sunday as the President-elect’s family and close allies took part in inaugural events across the nation’s capital. Wrapping up the pre-inaugural activities, Mr. Trump hosted a lively campaign-style rally in Washington, where he vowed to tackle “American decline” head-on with a flurry of decisive presidential actions. Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd at the “victory rally” held at Capitol One Arena, the 78-year-old Republican assured supporters of his commitment to delivering results with “historic speed” from the very first day of his return to the White House. Earlier, he paid tribute by participating in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
