Eid Al Fitr 2025 in the UAE: Dates, Celebrations & Everything You Need to Know:

Private sector employees in the UAE can look forward to a well-deserved break as the official Eid Al Fitr holiday has been announced from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1, with full paid leave during this period. However, if Ramadan extends to a full 30 days, the holiday will be prolonged by an additional day, allowing employees to enjoy an extended break until Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Federal government employees in the public sector will observe the Eid Al Fitr holiday from the 1st to the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH, with regular office operations resuming on the 4th of Shawwal.

If the Shawwal crescent moon appears in the night sky on Saturday, March 29, Eid Al Fitr will officially commence on Sunday, March 30. This would mark Sunday as the first day of the festive occasion, leading to an extended public holiday from Sunday to Tuesday. Consequently, most employees can look forward to a well-deserved four-day weekend, stretching from Saturday through Tuesday, offering ample time for celebration, reflection, and cherished moments with loved ones.

If the crescent moon remains unseen on Saturday evening, Ramadan will extend to a full 30 days, marking the beginning of Eid Al Fitr on Monday, March 31. In this case, residents can anticipate an extended five-day weekend, spanning from Saturday to Wednesday, offering ample time for festivities, family gatherings, and joyous celebrations.
