UAE: Netflix Revises Subscription Rates; Tips for Budget-Friendly Options

Netflix has announced a price adjustment for its subscription plans in the UAE, with some users facing an increase of up to AED 10 per month. The updated pricing will come into effect starting December 23, as per an official notification sent to subscribers. The exact hike will vary based on the subscription tier selected by the user, ensuring the adjustment aligns with the plan’s features and benefits. This change reflects Netflix’s commitment to enhancing its content library and delivering a superior viewing experience for its growing audience in the region. Subscribers are encouraged to review their plans and consider the value they receive in return for the updated rates.

Subscribers on the ‘Standard’ plan, which offers full-HD streaming on two devices simultaneously, will now pay AED 49 per month instead of the current AED 39.

Netflix has announced a price adjustment for its subscription plans. Subscribers to the Premium plan, which offers ultra-HD streaming on up to four devices simultaneously, will now pay Dh71 per month, reflecting an increase from the previous rate of Dh62.

Meanwhile, users on the Basic plan will not experience any price changes. This plan, priced at Dh35 per month, continues to provide HD streaming on a single device, maintaining its affordability for individual users.

A Guide to Switching to a More Affordable Plan

If you’re looking to reduce your monthly subscription fees and switch to a more budget-friendly Netflix plan, here’s a simple guide to help you make the change:

  1. Sign in to Your Netflix Account
Head over to netflix.com and log in. You’ll land on the overview page of your account, where all your settings are displayed.

  2. Click on ‘Change Plan’
On the main screen, look for the ‘Change plan’ button (marked with a star icon) and click it.

  3. Select Your New Plan
Browse through the available plans, pick the one that best suits your needs, and confirm your selection.

  4. Enjoy Your New Plan
Once you’ve downgraded your plan, the adjusted, lower price will be reflected in your next billing cycle. In the meantime, you can continue enjoying the features of your higher-tier plan until your next payment date.

If you’re upgrading to a higher-tier plan, you’ll be charged the remaining balance from your previous plan, along with any additional pro-rated fees for the new plan. The upgraded features will be available to you immediately.

Making the switch to a more affordable plan is an easy way to save while still enjoying your favorite shows and movies on Netflix!
